OMG 2 Day 4 Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar Starrer Passes Crucial Monday Test; Crosses 50-Crore Mark

OMG 2 Box Office Collection: Despite facing tough competition from Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, Akshay Kumar starrer, OMG 2, has proved its mettle at the box office. The film, which has been embroiled in controversy due to its religious theme, managed to pass the crucial Monday test with flying colors.

On its fourth day since release, OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the lead achieved a significant milestone as it crossed the 50-crore mark in its box office collection.

Sharing the collection details of the film, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#OMG2 has a SUPER-SOLID Monday - the day that makes or breaks movies... Monday HIGHER than Friday, says it all... Fri 10.26 cr, Sat 15.30 cr, Sun 17.55 cr, Mon 12.06 cr. Total: ₹ 55.17 cr. #India biz. Sure, #OMG is a brand, but the love #OMG2 is getting is reflecting in its #BO numbers... This franchise has only enhanced its status in the eyes and hearts of moviegoers."

On its opening day, the film raked in a sum of Rs10.26 crore, followed by Rs15.3 crore on the second day, and a robust Rs 17.55 crore on the third day. As of now, the cumulative box office earnings of the movie stands at Rs 55.17 crore.

Meanwhile, 'OMG 2,' helmed by director Amit Rai stars Akshay Kumar portraying the embodiment of Lord Shiva. Joining the cast alongside Kumar are Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil, renowned for his role in Ramayana.

This satirical comedy-drama serves as a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster 'OMG- Oh My God!' The production of the film is a collaborative effort involving Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl.
