Tiger 3 Overseas Box Office Collection Day 1: Salman Khan Is The Box Office King, BEATS Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan

Salman Khan has been all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, his much anticipated release Tiger 3, which also features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead has finally hit the screens on Diwali this year. Given the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, high hopes were pinned for Tiger 3 and it seems to be standing true to the expectations.

This Maneesh Sharma directorial has opened to rave reviews from the audience in India and abroad. Interestingly, Tiger 3 has witnessed an impressive start at the box office in India and became the highest opener for Salman Khan on the first day itself. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Tiger 3 has opened with a collection of Rs 44.50 crores on the first day.

And now, as per the recent reports, Tiger 3 has managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan in overseas collection. Yes! You read it right. According to a tweet shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Salman's spy thriller minted Rs 42.48 crores abroad. On the other hand, Jawan had reportedly minted Rs 37.59 crores overseas on day 1.

The news of Salman's Tiger 3 beating SRK's Jawan has been going viral on social media and several hashtags have been doing the rounds on the micro-blogging site Twitter (now X) including 'PATHAAN KA BAAP TIGER', 'SALMAN KA BAAP SRK', 'SALMAN KA BETA SUARUKH' etc. Well, as they has been a constant comparison between Salman and SRK's fans, it will be interesting to see how Tiger 3 will fare in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi recently got candid about his role in Tiger 3 and said, "I had an amazing time creating Aatish - a man who is fuelled by rage and will go to any length to finish Tiger. I play a very distinctively different villain that is rare in Hindi cinema. He is cerebral, his mind is his greatest weapon and he also wields immense power over authorities across countries to bring his devious plans into motion. He single-mindedly wants to destroy Tiger, his family and by doing that, he wants to take out the biggest super agent of India. He knows Tiger will always be the last man standing for India and he wants him removed at any cost."
