Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 2 (Hindi): Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' first collaboration Kalki 2898 AD has been creating ripples in the town ever since it was announced. After all, Nag Ashwin directorial has been a multi-starrer dystopian science fiction film which is touted to be the most interesting project of Indian cinema. Apart from Deepika and Prabhas, the movie also features Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead along with Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda doing interesting cameos.

The movie revolves around Kalki who is the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity, Vishnu features Prabhas playing the role of Bhairava, Deepika as Sumanti and Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Ashwatthama. As Kalki 2898 AD has managed to created a massive buzz in the town, it opened to decent reviews from the audience and witnessed a phenomenal start at the box office. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English languages and went on to cross Rs 90 crores mark on the opening day itself in India in all languages combined. In fact, it raked in Rs 190 crores worldwide on the opening day which is undoubtedly a phenomenal start.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD minutes Rs 95.3 crores on day 1 in all languages combined. Among this, this Nag Ashwin directorial had raked in Rs 22.5 crores in Hindi market and emerged as the highest opener of 2024. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD maintained a strong hold at the box office on the second day (first Friday) and minted Rs 22.5 crores as per early estimates in the Hindi market. It is evident that Kalki 2898 AD has managed to make an overall collections of Rs 45 crores in 2 days in Hindi and it will be interesting to see how it will fare during the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
