The movie, which is helmed by debutants Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, is a science fiction romantic comedy and marks Shahid and Kriti's first collaboration. Talking about the opening day collection of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, film producer and trade analyst Girish Johar exclusively told Filmibeat, "The trailer has been quite liked by the audience and the film is looking very fresh. The pair of Shahid and Kriti is looking very good also onscreen. The good part is that the music of the film is being liked a lot, it has been the talk of the town. I really hope that this one turns out good at the box office. I would be happy if the film opens anywhere around Rs 6-8 crores mark. If the film opens on that then you can have a good weekend".

Interestingly, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya seems to be minting less than half of Kabir Singh's opening day collection. For the uninitiated, Kabir Singh made an earning of Rs 20 crores on its day of release in 2019. It will be interesting to see if Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will be able to surpass Kabir Singh's collection.

It is worth a mention that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will be having a clear weekend for the entire month with no big releases in February. This isn't all. The fresh vibe and the Valentine's Day buzz is also likely to add on to the hype for the film.

Meanwhile, Shahid has been all praises for Kriti and stated, "I was looking forward to working with Kriti because I have enjoyed her work.. in the last few years she has raised the bar as an actor. Some of the work that she has done is a very mature work of an actor, not just a star who is also an actor but an actor from her heart. From the first film, you can see that Kriti has a lot of potential and she wants to perform. And then when I met her, I found her to be chilled out, and intelligent.. she was talking about things in a way that was interesting and exciting. And I was curious to understand who she is as a person."
