Sitaare Zameen Par Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: Aamir Khan is all over the headlines as he has finally hit the big screen after three years and the audience can't keep calm. After Laal Singh Chaddha, Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist is now here with the much talked about Sitaare Zameen Par which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Helmed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. To note, Sitaare Zameen Par is produced by Aamir Khan.

To note, Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama and is said to be the spiritual successor of the 2007 release Taare Zameen Par which featured Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary in the lead. However, both films have no connection whatsover. The movie also features Genelia Deshmukh as Aamir's love interest and marks their firs onscreen collaboration. While Sitaare Zameen Par managed to create a buzz with its impressive trailer, the movie opened to rave reviews from the audience and managed to win millions of hearts not just in India but across the world.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par made a collection of Rs 7.5 crores in the overseas market on day 1 (first Friday) while the total worldwide collection of the movie stands at Rs 20 crores

Sitaare Zameen Par Records Third Highest Overseas Collection On Day 1 Of 2025

Interestingly, with an overseas collection of Rs 7.5 crores, Sitaare Zameen Par has managed beat Raid 2 (Rs 3cr) and Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 4.75cr) to record the third highest opening day overseas collection of 2025 after Housefull 5 (Rs 11 crores) on top and Sikandar and Chaava on 2nd position with Rs 10 crores of overseas collection on day 1.

Earlier, talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir stated, "Well, it's a beautiful story. Actually, the easiest way I can describe it is that Taare Zameen Par is a very emotional film which makes you cry. Sitaare Zameen Par makes you laugh, it's a humorous film. The theme is similar, of people with different abilities, different intelligence, or with different challenges. But, it's humour as opposed to emotions".
