Border 2 Box Office Day 6 (Evening Trend): Varun's Film Struggles To Earn 10cr Despite Decent In Footfalls

Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6 (Evening Trend): Varun Dhawan is drawing strong attention with Border 2, which shows a very different side. Known earlier for light-hearted roles and dance skills, Varun Dhawan now plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in this war drama, and early reactions suggest the performance is earning wide praise from audiences. Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, follows the huge legacy of J.P. Dutta's 1997 film Border. The new movie is again set around the 1971 India-Pakistan War and arrives after years of speculation, which helped build high interest among viewers across India before release.

Alongside Varun Dhawan, the Border 2 cast includes Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Mona Singh. Sunny Deol returns to the franchise after almost three decades, which has become a major talking point, especially among fans of the original film. Strong word-of-mouth has helped the movie start well at the box office. However, Border 2 has been slowing down at the box office before wrapping up the first week.

Border 2 Evening Occupancy Day 6

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Border 2 saw a decent hold in occupancy and recorded a footfall of 19.82% on day 6 (first Wednesday). In fact, it failed to beat Dhurandhar while had a footfall of 42.04% on day 6. On the other hand, Gadar 2 is also having an upper hand on Gadar 2 in footfalls as it recorded an occupancy of 69.50% on day 6.

Interestingly, Border 2 has failed to touch Rs 10cr on day 6 (first Wednesday) so far. As per Sacnilk, Border 2 has earned Rs 7.7cr until 7:30pm which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 207.7cr

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan, who played the role of an Indian Army soldier for the first time on the big screen, spoke about Border and said, "A battle #border2.A film that really pushed me to my limits. An experience which so many people helped me get through. It changed me for good. Injuries, personal life changes and submitting to@the craft can't wait for everyone to watch this film.
