Helmed by Maruthi, the film boasts a notable ensemble cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhi Agerwal in key roles.

Designed as a pan-India release, The Raja Saab has finally arrived in theatres today (January 9) in Telugu, along with dubbed versions in Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. While the film is likely to take a strong opening in the Telugu belt, it'll be interesting to see how the film will perform in the Hindi market amid the ongoing Dhurandhar wave.

Produced under the banner of People Media Factory, The Raja Saab is backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, with Maruthi at the helm as director. Even before its release, the film has generated considerable buzz, especially as it is set to arrive around the same time as Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited film Jana Nayagan, making the box-office window a closely watched one.

The film revolves around a young man struggling with financial setbacks who begins to see hope in his ancestral property as a way to rebuild his life. As per the official synopsis, the narrative traces the transformation of a rebellious heir who must come to terms with his royal lineage. As he rises to power as Raja Saab, he challenges conventions and introduces unconventional rules, blending tradition with a modern, defiant outlook.

Prabhas headlines the film and is joined by a strong supporting cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab in pivotal roles. To avoid a head-on clash at the box office, the makers have opted to push the Tamil version of The Raja Saab by a day, while the Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada releases will proceed as planned.

To better assess the box office prospects of The Raja Saab, Filmibeat spoke to trade expert Rohit Jaiswal, who offered key insights into the film's release and its potential business performance.

Talking about the film's budget, Rohit stated, "The budget of the film looks somewhere around Rs 250-300 crore, including P&A and Prabhas' fees."

Talking about the box office target, Rohit added, "Given its budget, The Raja Saab needs to earn at least over ₹150 crore in Hindi to be in the safe zone. To be regarded as a clean hit in the Hindi market, it should cross the ₹200 crore mark."
