International Dance Day 2023: Josh Star Anushri Majumder’s Inspiring Story Gives Hope, Making Dance Her Career

The natural instinct of dance dates way back, dance as an art form has evolved through time and cultures! Today no matter which place one belongs to, there is a specific dance form representing the people and their rich ancestral heredity! Some find dance as an escape space, while some express themselves via its medium. It's fun, it's beautiful, it tells stories, and brings people together!

April 29 marks International Dance Day 2023, a special day that honors the art of dance. The Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute ITI, UNESCO's primary partner for the performing arts, established International Dance Day in 1982. Every year, the International Dance Committee and the International Theatre Institute ITI also choose a remarkable dance figure to craft a message for the occasion

Here is a story of a Dancer who inspires many, her story proves to us all one needs is perseverance! A very common social stigma is, "Dance is a hobby! Not a Career!"... "Can Dance be a full-time profession? ".. Answer is YES!

Anushri Majumder, Josh's creator always wanted to be a dancer. Her dance journey began when she was 3 years old, her parents saw her enthusiasm for dance at a very young age and got her into a dance academy and her feet never stopped since!

Little did they know she would succeed with flying colors soon. Anushri says, "Dancing was her passion, but making a career out of it was never easy". She raised against all odds, continued to upskill herself, and danced her way through struggles.

She says "Create opportunities even when the doors are locked for you, l use my rooftop as a studio & natural sunlight as light setup, no matter how the weather is this is the only option I have"....As they say, "When Life Throws Lemons, Make Lemonades!". Nothing could stop her, soon people started showering their love and appreciation to this talented dancer!

When asked what motivates her? She said "The positive part is, people! People loved what I've created to date and yes I've achieved 1 million views in 6 months"
Dancing can be a career and here's how she did it, "In 2021, I got an opportunity to be in this huge platform Named Josh. I'm always grateful for this opportunity, this community has given me immense love, immense support & obviously a way of income. People out there are always asking about how I got the opportunity to work with brands like Amazon, Philips, Too Yum & a lot more! It's all because of Josh. Josh helped me to grow as a dancer. My Digital Career is incomplete without this platform. I will always be thankful to Josh. I want to keep continuing my career with Josh. & To all of you who are reading this story I would request you to all, please support the beginners, who are trying hard to make a career. I still don't have a proper studio setup, & renting part is also expensive but your support can make a difference. Take love, spread love", Anushri says.
