Sooraj Pancholi Breaks Silence On Dealing With The Dark Times & TROLLING, Says ‘There Was This Constant...'

Sooraj Pancholi: Sooraj Pancholi has been hitting the headlines again after being acquitted by the CBI Special Court of the charges of abetment to suicide in the Jiah Khan death case after ten long years. In 2013, Jiah was found dead in her bedroom, and her mother claimed that Pancholi had murdered her.

Soon the actor took to social media and hailed the verdict, distributed sweets to paps, visited Siddhivinayak temple, and revealed that he received constant support from Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty throughout the course of the case. Now, the actor is reflecting on the past decade and how people treated him.

SOORAJ PANCHOLI TALKS ABOUT DEALING WITH DARK TIMES

In a recent interview, the Hero actor opened up about facing dark times during the Jiah Khan suicide case and how that has had a devastating effect on him. Speaking to ETimes, Sooraj spoke about people's attitude towards him all these years.

He said, "From the moment I stepped out of my house to the time I got back, I felt trapped, breathless, and judged every day. Especially in showbiz, perception is everything. At any event, I was the last person to reach and the first to leave."

He further added that he felt people were judging him even when they weren't. "There was this constant pressure, a feeling that people don't want to be around me or seen with me and that is the worst feeling ever... the thought of being unwanted," he shared.

SOORAJ PANCHOLI TALKS ABOUT FACING HOSTILITY

In the same interviews, Sooraj revealed that he was not part of Bollywood when the accusations were made against him. He recalled the hostility he faced around the release of his debut movie and even after that.

He stated, "I did sense a bit of hesitation and hostility. I was removed from projects. The films that I was working on were stopped midway. Every time I tried to move on, some fake reports in the media and vicious online trolling held me back."

For the uninitiated, Sooraj Pancholi debuted in Bollywood with Hero in 2015 alongside debutante Athiya Shetty. The film was a remake of the 1983 movie of the same name that starred Jackie Shroff and Menakshi Seshadri.
