Priyannka Chopra mother Madhu Chopra: Actress Priyanka Chopra has become one of the most sought after stars internationally. The actress who once reigned over Bollywood with her beauty and acting, had her share of struggles during the initial days of her career. Priyanka is a family person, and her love for her parents has been hidden from her fans. Her mother, Madhu Chopra, has always been her honest companion since she started her career in the glamour world.

Many don't know that Madhu was Priyanka's manager during her initial days in Bollywood. In a recent interview, she admitted that they were newcomers to Mumbai and had no idea how the glamour and beauty industries functions.

Speaking about being newbies in the film industry, Madhu Chopra said in an interview with Josh Talks that she used to look over Priyanka's finances and added that she was there with her during movie narrations and meetings.

Further, she went on to say that her daughter Priyanka lost many films after they made some rules for her professional life. "One day we decided that she (Priyanka) will not have any meetings, she will not go out anywhere, she will not fraternize after 7-7.30 in the evening. She stood firm on this decision."

"Aur fir kya karegi, kya nahi karegi, tehzeeb-tameez ke dayare ke andar, vo usne nahi kiye (Also, things which she won't do while staying within her limits, she didn't do). She lost many films because she refused to do some scenes which she thought are not worth it," she added.

Priyanka didn't have any pressure from her family for her work in films, Madhu said, adding that they told her she had career options to choose from. She shared, "We always told her, this is not 'Do or die'. You can always go back, take up studies, or take up some other career. You have a lot of options. If not this, then that."

However, Priyanka now has several interesting Hollywood projects in her kitty. She is also well-settled in her personal life with her husband, Nick Jonas, and daughter, Malti Marie. The actress is currently gearing up for her upcoming spy series Citadel, which will release on Amazon Prime on April 28.
