Exclusive! Ardaas Actress Jasmine Bhasin On How She Got Punjabi Films, "Bigg Boss Gave Me A Wide Visibility"

Jasmine Bhasin is one of the most popular names in the Indian Television industry. The actress started her career with South films and later left a mark on television. Now, she has moved her ways towards Punjabi film industry, and is gearing up for her fourth Punjabi movie, Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di. Filmibeat recently interacted with Jasmine and spoke to her about doing Punjabi films.

When asked her how Punjabi film industry happened to her, the actress said, "It happened post Bigg Boss. I think Bigg Boss gave me a wide visibility because of which post the reality show I got many movie offers from Hindi, OTT, and Punjabi as well. I always wanted to do Punjabi films because you relate to the cultural background, and you feel like you want to work in this environment."

"So, a few offers came, and I wasn't happy because everybody knows I am very choosy; then when I got Honeymoon I thought that this will be a decently good debut for me in Punjabi. So, that's how I made my debut there," she added.

Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di Release Date

Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di is all set to release on 13th September 2024. The movie also stars Gippy Grewal and Gurpreet Ghuggi in the lead roles, and it is directed by the former. The movie is the third instalment of the Ardaas series, and the audience has quite high expectations from it as the first two instalments had done well at the box office.

During the interview with us, Jasmine had also spoken up about the women's safety issue in our country. She had said, "Families need to stop telling their daughters, 'don't go here, don't go there, this will happen, that will happen'. Families need to give confidence to daughters that you are strong. We need to fight, we need to work on our fitness and strength. We need to have proper self-defense training in schools."
