Maa Budget & Box Office Target: Vishal Furia's Maa is creating quite a buzz ahead of its theatrical release, especially among horror enthusiasts. Ever since the trailer was unveiled, the film has sparked curiosity for its unique blend of supernatural horror and emotional storytelling.

Set in the same universe as Ajay Devgn's 2024 hit Shaitaan, Maa brings a fresh perspective by weaving deep maternal emotions into a dark, mythological narrative.

Backed by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, Maa has been certified UA 16+ by the CBFC, indicating it's best suited for viewers aged 16 and older, while parental discretion is recommended for those under the age limit.

Maa presents a refreshing twist to Indian horror by blending ancient mythology with raw emotional depth. The film follows a mother and daughter whose peaceful road trip turns into a nightmare after they unknowingly enter a cursed village, trapped under the shadow of a centuries-old demonic force.

Kajol takes on the intense role of a mother who transforms from a gentle caregiver into a fearless protector. Her emotional journey and fierce determination form the core of this mythological horror tale, which explores themes like maternal courage, generational curses, and spiritual warfare.

Sharing screen space with Kajol are Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma, and Jitin Gulati, who deliver impactful performances. Maa also connects to the storyline of the 2024 supernatural thriller Shaitaan, further expanding the eerie cinematic universe that originally featured Ajay Devgn, Jyotika, and R. Madhavan.

Talking about the film's budget, Rohit Jaiswal told us, "Maa ka budget takreeban jo hamari nazron mei dikh raha hai,, sab kuch leke. Kyunki ye film jo shoot hui hai, koi bohot bada aisa location ya kuch hai nahi. Jahan tak samajh mei aa raha hai, takreeban 55-60 crore ke aas-paas ka budget hona chahiye, including P&A (The estimated budget of Maa, based on what we can observe, seems to be around ₹55-60 crore, including print and advertising (P&A). The film doesn't appear to have been shot at any particularly grand or expensive location, so considering all aspects, this figure seems reasonable)."

MAA BOX OFFICE TARGET AND DAY 1 PREDICTION

Talking about the box office target for Maa, Rohit Jaiswal stated, "70 crore karne se clear hit ho jaega. Maa hit ho jaegi, isko hit hone se koi nahi rok akta kyunki it's a very safe film (If Maa manages to earn around ₹70 crore, it will clearly be a hit. Nothing can stop it from becoming successful because it's a very safe film)."

As per reports, Maa is likely to collect between Rs 4.50 crore and Rs 6.50 crore net on the first day of its release.
