Sunjay Kapur's Death: Mother Calls It 'Highly Suspicious'

Sunjay Kapur's mother Rani Kapur wrote a long letter to SEBI claiming that her son's death was not normal. As per Viral Bhayani's report, she started with saying, "As you are aware, on 12.06.2025, my son Mr. Sunjay Kapur tragically passed away under highly suspicious and unexplained circumstances in the United Kingdom." She further claimed that she has not yet received the answers about her son's death despite all efforts.

Rani added, "Despite me seeking information, I have been unable to receive any relevant answers and documents explaining the incident and have been confined to the knowledge and version set out by the media."

Sunjay's mother later addressed how she has been mentally and emotionally distressed as people came to her just after her son's death to sign various documents. Rani claimed that she did not have time to read or even process what was going on around her.

Despite these claims being made, Sona Comstar confirmed that no paper has been "signed or obtained" from Mrs. Kapur by the company. They stated, "Given our respect for Mrs. Kapur, the Company sought urgent legal advice Based on the legal counsel and the fact that Mrs. Kapur is not a shareholder of the Company, the Company concluded that it could not defer the AGM."
