Dhurandhar Actor Hirav Mehta: My Social Media Is Completely Flooded With Reactions, Memes, And Reels
Actor Hirav Mehta might have made his debut with Aditya Dhar's duology Dhurandhar, where he plays a Baloch United Force (BUF) rebel, but the love and appreciation he is getting for the orchestrated accident scene in the movie, where he kills Sanjay Dutt's character SP Chaudhary Aslam, has earned him the title of "best driver." He is overwhelmed with the response he is getting for his scene-stealing performance and revealed that people are giving him various suggestions too.

He said, "I feel extremely grateful. This is my first project, and receiving so much love from the audience means a lot to me. People are making me a viral sensation-calling me their 'best driver,' and some are even saying I should go to F1. It's overwhelming in the best way possible."
"The project has truly become the talk of the town, and my social media is completely flooded with reactions, memes, and reels from surprised and excited audiences. I'm just thankful for all the appreciation and very happy with the response," he added.
He calls himself a "car person" and mentioned that he enjoys driving; however, he was quick to advise the audience to follow caution. He said, "I absolutely love driving, and it has always come naturally to me. I would say I'm a good driver, but at the same time, I strongly believe that driving is not easy and should always be taken seriously."
"Safety is very important to me. I always keep in mind that 'speed thrills, but it kills,' so I make sure to drive responsibly-for myself and for the safety of others. Also, I recently gifted myself a car, which makes me really happy," he added.
Talking about the scene, he shared that director Aditya Dhar gave him a very clear and detailed briefing. "He explained exactly what the scene required, the emotions, the intent, and the overall feel. When an actor understands their mission so clearly, it becomes much easier to perform convincingly. Because of that precise guidance, I was able to deliver the performance effectively, and everything came out very naturally on screen," Hirav said.
He mentioned that it was quite an intense scene and added, "Especially the moment where my character is about to die but chooses to take someone along. Emotionally, it required me to get into a very specific zone, so I did practice beforehand."
The scene was shot across two main locations. While the driving and highway portions were filmed in Chandigarh, the close-up shots were filmed in Film City Goregaon, Mumbai. "In Chandigarh the team managed the traffic very efficiently-blocking and opening sections of the road carefully to avoid congestion. Both these locations were combined in the final edit to create the complete sequence you see on the screen."
"Thanks to the clarity I had, most of my scenes were completed in a single take. Of course, there was a bit of nervousness initially because of the intensity, but once I faced the camera, everything felt very natural and smooth. Seeing the audience love that scene so much makes it even more special for me," Hirav ended.
