The reveal sparked massive conversation nationwide, with Ranbir's divine screen presence and the film's scale leaving audiences awestruck.

Adding to the excitement, Arun Govil, widely revered as the TV's original on-screen Lord Rama for his iconic portrayal in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and now essaying King Dashrath on big screens in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, expressed his faith in Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of the revered character.

Arun Govil shared, "As far as Ranbir is concerned, I mean, he is a good actor. He works very hard. He is a very cultured kid, basically, you know. He has a moral culture, I have seen it many times. So, I am very sure about it that he will try to do his level best."

Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor has previously revealed that his preparation for Ramayana began the day he first watched Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, an experience that deeply shaped his understanding of the character and inspired his journey toward portraying Lord Rama.

Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Rocking Star Yash as Formidable Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Together, they lead a cinematic vision designed to redefine mythological storytelling on the big screen.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, the two-part epic will release worldwide in IMAX, with Part 1 arriving in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
