RANVEER SINGH-DON 3 MAKERS IN A LEGAL DISPUTE? CONTROVERSY EXPLAINED
Trouble continues to surround Don 3, the much-anticipated action film to be directed by Farhan Akhtar. The project has remained in the news for a long time due to repeated delays and major casting changes.
After Shah Rukh Khan stepped away from the franchise, Ranveer Singh was brought on board as the new lead. However, the film struggled to move forward as schedules were pushed and planning faced several hurdles. Following the release of Dhurandhar, reports began circulating that Ranveer Singh had also exited Don 3, adding another layer of uncertainty to the project.
According to a Variety India report, production house Excel Entertainment has reportedly suffered losses of around Rs 40 crore due to the actor's sudden departure. These losses are said to include expenses linked to pre-production, development work, scheduling delays, and other commitments made during the planning stage.
While Ranveer Singh has reportedly raised concerns over the script, the producers claim that major groundwork began only after he approved the screenplay. The report suggests that a closed-door meeting between Ranveer Singh and the Excel Entertainment team was held last Friday and lasted nearly two hours. However, the discussion reportedly failed to reach any resolution.
With talks breaking down, Excel Entertainment is said to be considering legal action if the matter remains unresolved. Meanwhile, the Producers Guild of India has stepped in to mediate and prevent the dispute from escalating further. Ranveer Singh has not issued any official statement or comment on the controversy so far.
UPCOMING PROJECTS OF RANVEER SINGH

The sequel is expected to take his character's journey further and reveal new layers of the story. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026.
