Sidharth Malhotra's Father Sunil Malhotra Passes Away: The former Merchant Navy captain, who is the father of actor Sidharth Malhotra, passed away. As per the reports, Sunil Malhotra breathed his last in his sleep after his battle with prolonged illness on Friday, February 14, 2026, at his Delhi residence. The actor, who was reportedly in Mumbai with his wife Kiara Advani and newborn baby girl, rushed to Delhi to be with his family immediately after he received the devastating news.
He is survived by his wife Rimma Malhotra and sons, Harshad Malhotra and Sidharth Malhotra. Purnima Malhotra and popular actress Kiara Advani are his daughters-in-law. Sunil Malhotra's last rites were reportedly held in Delhi, in the presence of his family members and loved ones.

The Shershaah actor recently took to his official Instagram handle and confirmed the reports on his father Sunil Malhotra's demise, with a heartbreaking note and a series of throwback pictures. "He was a man of rare honesty, integrity and culture. He lived by values that never bent. Discipline without harshness. Strength without ego. Positivity, even when life tested him beyond measure," wrote Sidharth Malhotra in his post.
"Papa, your integrity is my inheritance. Your strength guides me every day. Your positivity still holds this family together.You left us peacefully in your sleep, but the space you leave behind is immeasurable. I am who I am because of you. And I will carry your name, your values and your light forward always. Love you Dad," Shershaah star further added in his post.
Many of Sidharth Malhotra's friends and colleagues from Bollywood, including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Soni Razdan and others took to the actor's Instagram post and offered respects to late Sunil Malhotra, in the comments section.
