Twisters OTT Release Date & Platform Updates: Nearly after three decades, the blockbuster American weather disaster film 'Twisters' is back with its standalone sequel. Starring Glen Powell in the lead, the 2024 hit cinemas today (July 19). Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters sequel is produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley.

Headlined by the hunk Glen Powell, Twisters (2024) delves into the heart of Oklahoma amidst a storm-chasing adventure. The disaster film stars Powell as Tyler Owens, a famous storm chaser on the internet, Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Carter, a meteorologist and former storm chaser and Anthony Ramos as Javi, Kate's former storm chaser colleague.

The official synopsis of the standalone sequel read, "Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Carter, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Ramos) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system."

While the much-anticipated standalone sequel to Twisters hit cinemas globally today, fans are curious to know when it will stream online. According to reports, the weather disaster flick is likely to debut on various PVOV (Premium Video On Demand) platforms shortly after its theatrical run concludes.

Generally, Universal makes its films available for digital streaming after an average of 32 days. Given the tradition, the movie might have a digital release by the end of August this year.

As per Screenrant report, Universal usually follows a gap of roughly 90 days between its post theatrical release and OTT release on Peacock, which means the film could hit Peacock around October 2024. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
