This is the question on everyone's mind ever since Aneez Bazmeee introduced two Manjulikas in the new installment of the hit franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit's film promised to be the 'shandaar Patakha' that will lit the silver screens. Did the makers live up to the expectations?

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3 ACTING REVIEW

When you have talented artists like Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri and Kartik Aaryan, you can expect a blockbuster, isn't it? While Vidya Balan has already wooed us in the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Madhuri Dixit added the tadka in the new installment.

Talking about the performances, Vidya Balan delivered one of her best performances. She showcased her acting prowess as she took up the hatke role, making sure that the spotlight always remained on her.

A lot was said and written about Triptii Dimri being the 'dark horse' of the film. The makers didn't reveal much details about her role. Did the Bulbbul star stand tall amid the stalwarts dominating the screen with their presence? Was she the surprise package of the film?

Aneez Bazmee and team were successful in making us believe that Triptii's character Meera could be the potential villain of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. However, the character didn't offer much to explore. Triptii was decent, so was Kartik Aaryan. He was definitely better when compared to his performance in the second installment.

Madhuri Dixit was charming as usual and her dance face-off with Vidya Balan was a treat to watch. However, I wish the makers gave her a meaty role. She just played a cameo role and there was a lot left in the room.

I want to give a shoutout to Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav and Ashwini Kalsekar for being the 'anar and phuljhari' of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Be it their physical comedy or punches, they delivered a seethi-maar performance even when the script didn't support them. Despite the poorly written jokes, the actors managed to impress.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3 CLIMAX SCENE SAVES FILM

While BB 3 is visually enchanting, it has its share of ups and downs. The first half was 'meh'. There were times I wanted to laugh but I couldn't as the jokes fell flat. The story progressed in the second half, keeping me invested to know who was the 'main ghost', who haunted the mansion.

It was the sold climax twist that saved the film, which failed to be a cracker. The writing team deserves applause for the wonderful message. The surprise and the end sequence will make you cheer.

It's a spoiler-free review, so I won't reveal the name of the main villain. But you can expect the unexpected in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3's climax scene.

IS BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3 WORTH WATCHING?

If you want to enjoy a masala entertainer this Diwali, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a good choice for you. Although there are loopholes in the film, Aneez Bazmee's film is worth watching. Vidya Balan, aka the OG Manjulika, stole the limelight once again. She's the true blue star of the movie, proving why critics are in awe of her performance. Do watch the film for Vidya Balan as she knows how to captivate the audience with her charm. Madhuri Dixit was good in bits and parts as her role was not a full-fledged one.

While Akshay Kumar's Bhool Bhulaiyaa has attained the status of a cult classic, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 disappointed us in several departments. Thankfully, the third installment managed to tickle the funny bone and scare at the same time. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 definitely deserves a watch.

IS BHOOL BHULAIYAA 3 BETTER THAN BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2?

Tabu is a bonafide artist, who can breathe life into character. She portrayed the roles of Manjulika and Anjulika with ease in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. However, the other departments of the film, be it writing, screenplay or music, didn't support her much.

This is where Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 takes the cake. Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan justified their roles while the supporting characters added juice to the film. I will any day take an average Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 over a dull Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
