Srikanth Review: Rajkummar Rao & Jyotika Shine In This Film Which Is One Of The Best Biopics Of Recent Times

Srikanth Review: Srikanth Bolla, this name is something you might have read and heard about in the news. He is blind, but he is one of the most successful industrialist in India. Well now, it's time to watch his inspiring story on the big screens in the movie Srikanth which stars Rajkummar Rao and Jyotika in the lead roles. So, is this movie worth your time and money? Find out in our review below...
The movie is about Srikanth (Rajkummar Rao), a blind guy from a small village of Andhra Pradesh. Since childhood, he was very keen on studying, and he is moved to a special school in Hyderabad. He tops in 10th Standard, but none of the colleges are ready to give him admission in science. He does a case on the education system to get into science. From there starts the journey of Srikanth who proves that though his name has 'can't', he 'can' do everything.
Srikanth is written by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sidhu, and directed by Tushar Hiranandani. The movie starts on a very interesting note, and the childhood of Srikanth has been shown very well. After a good start, the movie does become a bumpy ride with some interesting scenes and some not-so-interesting scenes. The court room scenes and the airport scene are the highlight of the film.
In the second half, the movie becomes much better, and keeps us hooked throughout. The way Srikanth builds up his company has been shown wonderfully. The best part about the film is that it just doesn't glorify Srikanth and his achievements, it also showcases some negative elements about him which is a human tendency.
Srikanth Actors' Performances
When a biopic is made, the most important element in it is the lead actor, and here Rajkummar Rao has nailed it. The actor has performed the role of Srikanth amazingly, and has even got the physical element of a visually challenged person perfectly. Clearly, it is one of his career's best performance.
Jyotika made her Bollywood comeback earlier this year with Shaitaan and impressed one and all with her performance in the film. In this movie, she plays the role of Srikanth's teacher who always supports him. The actress is so natural in the movie that you will forget that you are watching Jyotika. She has gotten into the skin of the character wonderfully. Also, watching her on the big screen in a Hindi movie is like a breath of fresh air.
Alaya F has an extended cameo in the film. She looks damn pretty and has performed well; her screen presence is just fantastic. Sharad Kelkar looks handsome as always, and has done a wonderful job as Srikanth's business partner Ravi in the movie.
Srikanth Music
When it comes to music, the songs are decent. But, the use of Papa Kehta Hai and the background score surely elevates the movie multiple times.
Srikanth Review Final Verdict
Overall, Srikanth is one of the best biopics we have seen in recent times. Rajkummar and Jyotika's amazing performance surely take the film a notch higher.
