Recently, the official Netflix YouTube channel released a trailer for an upcoming series called 'Billionaire Island', a Netflix original series based in Norway.

For those that are interested, or are looking for a series that are looking to sink their teeth into the world of billionaire businesses, then here are some of the details you should know.

Plot Details Of 'Billionaire Island'

The series will be taking place in Norway and will follow the story of a Norwegian Atlantic cod business that runs into the billions. More specifically, the series will go into the politics and drama that is involved in billionaires and businesspeople who are aiming to acquire each other's businesses so they can rise to the top.

The trailer description reads, "Julie Lange, the head of Marlax, plans a hostile takeover of a local competitor to become the world's largest salmon producer. Billionaire Island is a drama portraying the rivalry between two families, pitting old traditions against new ambitions."

Cast Details Of 'Billionaire Island'

This Netflix series is created by Eilif Skodvin and Anne Bjornstad, who are a special duo to the OTT platform. That's because 12 years ago, the duo worked on and released the first ever Netflix original, titled 'Lilyhammer'.

They made a comment to Netflix, "It is fantastic to be reunited with Netflix on this series which deals with one of the newer marine creatures in Norway - the salmon billionaire. The fish farming industry has made many Norwegians very rich and is a veritable treasure trove of colorful characters and exciting stories. We can't wait to share Billionaire Island with the audience."

The series will also feature actors Trine Wiggen, Bjarne Brøndbo, Ragne Grande, Svein Roger Karlsen, Kåre Conradi, Oddgeir Thune, and more.
