The official Netflix YouTube channel just recently dropped the trailer for an upcoming animated series based on the 'Tomb Raider' video game franchise. The series is titled 'Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft'.

Plot Details Of The Netflix Series 'Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft'

The series will pick up after the trilogy of recent video games in the Tomb Raider franchise, those being 'Tomb Raider', 'Rise of the Tomb Raider', and 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider'.

The official Netflix news site describes the plot of the series as follows, "Lara Croft abandons her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures. However, Lara must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.

Cast And Crew Behind 'Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft'

The series will be written and produced by Tasha Huo, alongside other executive producers such as Dmitri M. Johnson, Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson, Dallas Dickinson, Noah Hughes, Howard Bliss, Jen Chambers, and Brad Graeber.

The main character, Lara Croft, will be voice acted by Hayley Atwell, and will be joined in the cast list by Allen Maldonado and Earl Baylon.

The video game inspired animated series will be available exclusively on Netflix from October 10th, 2024 onwards.
