The veteran actress, who was featured in Squid Game 2, passed away tragically after fighting for a long time. Lee, who breathed her last at the age of 80, played the mother of Jun Ho, who played the character of Wi Ha Joon in the Korean Drama Squid Game 2. Well, according to the reports, Lee Joo Shil has been battling with stomach cancer for long before she died. Her agency stated, "Approximately three months ago, actress Lee Joo Shil's health declined, and she was diagnosed with stomach cancer after an examination from the hospital." For the unversed, the actress has earlier suffered from stage 3 breast cancer in 1993. However, she won over the battle that time. She also graduated from college while battling cancer and recieved a doctorate degree in public health from Wonkwang University in 2010.
