Kaviyoor Ponnamma to be awarded Bharat Murali award

Kaviyoor Ponnamma will receive the third Bharat Murali film award instituted by Kottarakara Bharat Murali Cultural Centre. The award is in recognition to her vast achievement in Malayalam cinema.

Veteran actress Kaviyoor Ponnamma has been recognised for her enormous efforts in Malayalam films and hence has been presented with a Bharat Murali film award. The award includes cash of Rs 10,000 and a citation.

The coimmittee that selected Ponnamma for the award comprised of director Vijaya Krisnan, Maneka, Dr Biju, Bharat Murali and cultural centre chairman Palliseri. Minister KB Ganesh Kumar will present the award to Kaviyoor Ponnamma on August 5 at a remembrance function to be held at Veliyam.
