Ponman Premise

In Ponman, Basil Joseph plays PP Ajesh, a jewelry specialist who lends gold to brides' families, expecting repayment from wedding cash gifts. Set in Kollam, the story follows Ajesh's struggle to reclaim 12 sovereigns of gold after Steffi's (Lijomol Jose) family falls short. His pursuit exposes societal issues surrounding dowry and the cultural significance of gold.
