Anomie Box Office Collection Day 1: The thriller film, directed by Riyas Marath, finally hit the theatres on February 6, 2026. Bhavana and Rahman played the lead roles in Anomie, which has been receiving mixed reviews from both the audiences and critics. As the film completed Day 1 at the theatres, it is off to an underwhelming start at the box office.

According to the latest reports by the box office tracking website Sacnilk, Bhavana and Rahman's thriller is off to an underwhelming start at the worldwide box office. Anomie has made a below average opening in India, by making a gross collection of around ₹20 lakhs from the domestic box office. The opening day gross collection from India stands at ₹23 crore.
As you may know the Bhavana starrer has been released in theatres both in Malayalam and Tamil languages. The Anomie Malayalam version has reportedly made a net collection of around ₹18 lakhs, while the Tamil version now stands at just ₹2 lakhs.
Even though the team has been actively promoting Anomie on social media, the thriller has not succeeded in generating a major hype among the cinephiles. The absolute lack of pre-release hype has been severely impacting Rahman and Bhavana's film, which has been receiving mixed reactions from the cinephiles. However, things are expected to get better for the film during the first weekend.
Anomie Plot, Cast And Crew
For the uninitiated, Anomie is a sci-fi thriller that follows the life of Zaara, a woman seeking answers in her brother's unresolved missing case. Her efforts bring her into conflict with Arjun, a skilled police officer who is already facing challenges in the investigation. Zaara and the inspector continue pursuing the truth through their own paths, and this leads to some major truths getting revealed.
Bhavana plays the role of Zaara in the film, which stars Rahman as Inspector Arjun. Binu Pappu, Arjun Lal, Shebin Benson, Vishnu Agasthya, and Drishya Raghunath essay the other key roles in Anomie. Harshavardhan Rameshwar composed the music score. Sujith Sarang is the director of photography, and Kiran Das handled the editing.
