Drishyam 4 In Cards? The much-awaited Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3 hit theatres worldwide on May 21, bringing back Georgekutty and his family for another chapter in the popular franchise created by Jeethu Joseph. Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, the film serves as the third installment in the Drishyam series following the events of Drishyam (2013) and Drishyam 2 (2021).

Soon after the film's release, social media discussions began focusing on whether the latest chapter leaves room for another sequel. Industry tracker Christopher Kanagaraj shared on X that Drishyam 3 "ends with a lead for Part-4," prompting speculation among viewers about the future of the franchise.

Film reviewer SmartBarani also referred to the possibility of another installment in an early reaction posted on X. According to the reviewer, the film carries more of an "epilogue feel" than a conventional sequel while still maintaining suspense-driven drama. The post further stated that the final portions included twists likely to appeal to audiences, although the reviewer felt the hint toward a possible continuation "could have been avoided."

Drishyam 3 Focuses On Georgekutty's Emotional Struggles

The latest film appears to shift focus from purely investigative tension to the emotional and personal consequences faced by Georgekutty after years of protecting his family. The trailer, released on May 9, had already hinted at this thematic direction with the line: "You have seen his brilliance. You have witnessed his defence. But you never saw what it cost him."

According to the makers, the third installment continues exploring themes of truth, deception, and the long-term impact of past actions. While the earlier films primarily revolved around police investigations and cover-ups, Drishyam 3 reportedly takes a more introspective route alongside its thriller elements.

Apart from Mohanlal, the film features returning cast members including Meena, Siddique, Asha Sarath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil reprising their characters from the earlier films.
