Sachin Pilgaonkar Wishes To Direct Hindi Film After Success Of Navra Maza Navsacha 2
Sachin Pilgaonkar, acclaimed for his Marathi film 'Navra Maza Navsacha 2', is set to direct a new Hindi family comedy-drama, aiming to captivate both Indian and international audiences.

Sachin Pilgaonkar, a distinguished figure in the Indian film industry, is setting his sights on Hindi cinema with an upcoming commercial entertainer. Following the remarkable achievement of his Marathi film "Navra Maza Navsacha 2," which garnered significant attention and became the second-highest grossing Marathi of the year, Pilgaonkar is eager to bring his directorial prowess to the Hindi film audience. His latest project, a family comedy-drama, has not only resonated with viewers in India but also captivated a global audience, particularly in the USA and Canada, amassing a notable box office collection of Rs 19 crores within the first ten days of its release.
"After the grand success of our Marathi film Navra Maza Navsacha 2, I am now looking forward to directing a Hindi film, a thorough entertainer. I have been a commercial filmmaker directing various films in different genres over the years. Commercial family entertainers are my forte. Since I have primarily directed Marathi films in the last few years, I am now looking forward to directing a Hindi film once again. The immense love and support from the audience for all my work has kept me on my toes and even after 60 years in the industry, I still have the same passion and energy for cinema which drives me to keep going," Pilgaonkar shared.
Pilgaonkar's extensive career, spanning over six decades, boasts more than 200 films as an actor and 23 as a director. His portfolio includes iconic Marathi comedies like "Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi" and "Navra Maaza Navsacha." In addition to his success in Marathi cinema, Pilgaonkar has also made his mark in Hindi entertainment, directing hit TV comedy "Tu Tu Main Main," featuring Supriya Pilgaonkar and Reema Lagoo, as well as Hindi movies such as "Prem Deewane," starring Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff, and "Aisi Bhi Kya Jaldi Hai."
The film "Navra Maza Navsacha 2," serving as a sequel to the 2005 release "Navra Maza Navsacha," stars Ashok Saraf, Nirmiti Sawant among others, with the lead pair being Sachin Pilgaonkar himself alongside Supriya Pilgaonkar. The sequel's monumental success has paved the way for Pilgaonkar's return to Hindi cinema, leaving fans eager and excited for his next Hindi offering.
