Sevappi OTT Release: MS Raaja both writes and directs the film Sevappi, showcasing Shravan Athevethan, MS Rishikanth, and Poornima Ravi in prominent lead roles.

Aha Tamil revealed that their upcoming original film, Sevappi, will premiere on the streaming platform on January 12. The announcement came along with the film's teaser.

The teaser depicts the affection a young boy holds for a hen named Sevappi, despite not being its rightful owner. As he absconds with the hen, accompanied by a friend, their actions ignite turmoil in the village, resulting in escalating violence.

Sevappi Cast And Crew

Sevappi, helmed by MS Raaja, features MS Rishikanth and Poornima Ravi from Bigg Boss Tamil in prominent roles. Shravan Athevethan portrays the young boy in this film. Behind the scenes, cinematography is handled by Manoharan, while Vachu Laskmin oversees editing and VFX. Praveen Kumar is the composer responsible for the film's music.

Sevappi is brought to life through the production efforts of Rajeshwar Kalisamy and Prasanna Balachandran, renowned for their YouTube channel, Nakkalites. The film received its initial official selection at the 7th IFFF International Folklore Film Festival, Thrissur, in 2024.

Sevappi represents the latest project for Poornima Ravi from Bigg Boss Tamil, following her appearance in the culinary drama "Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food" alongside Nayanthara. The emerging actress, who gained recognition in Bigg Boss Tamil season 7, commenced her acting journey with the web series "MINE" in 2019. She has also showcased her talent in various other web series, such as "Selfie Kadhal" and "The Roommate - In My Vaazhkai."
