Delhi Ganesh Death Reason: The fans of Tamil cinema woke up to a heartbreaking news from the Tamil industry as a renowned senior actor passed away. We are talking about Delhi Ganesh who breathed his last on November 9. According to media reports, Delhi Ganesh passed away at his residence in Ramapuram Senthamil Nagar, Chennai at around 11 pm. The news was confirmed by his son Mahadevan on social media. He shared a post stated, "We deeply regret to inform that our father Mr Delhi Ganesh has passed away on 9th November 2024 at around 11 pm".

The news has sent down a wave of shock and grief across the industry. For the uninitiated, Delhi Ganesh made his debut with the 1976 release Pattina Pravesam and has worked in over 400 films in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu languages sharing screens with stars like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth etc. He is known for his impressive performance in Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989), Aahaa..! (1997), Thenali (2000), and Engamma Maharani (1981) and won Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for his performance in Pasi. Besides he has been a part of several television serials as well including Vasantham, Kasthuri, Lakshmi Stores, Sondha Bandham, Bhairavi Aavigalukku Priyamanaval etc. He was last seen in Kamal Haasan's 2024 release Indian 2.

According to media reports, Delhi Ganesh was not keeping well for a while now and was battling with age related issues. Talking about it, film critic Ramesh Bala tweeted, "Veteran Actor #DelhiGanesh (80) passed away in Chennai.. He wasn't keeping well for sometime.. A fine actor.. Tamil cinema will miss him.. RIP!"

If the media reports are to be believed, Delhi Ganesh's funeral will take place today (November 10, 2024) in Chennai. However an official announcement in this regard Is yet to be made.
