Marshal OTT Partner: Karthi, the popular Tamil actor who is best known for his versatality, is teaming up with director Tamizh for his next outing. The project, which has been titled Marshal, is touted to be an out-and-out period action drama. Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is currently on a high with the success of her latest outing, Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, is playing the female lead in the film.

As per the latest reports, the OTT streaming rights of the upcoming Karthi starrer have been sold already, even though the movie is still in its filming stage. The recent updates suggest that the streaming giant Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical OTT rights of Marshal for a whopping price. The Tamizh directorial is expected to have its streaming debut on the platform soon after it completes its theatrical run. The reports also suggest that the Karthi starrer will stream in at least four languages on Netflix.

Marshal: Release Date, Cast, Crew, And More

According to the grapevine, the makers are planning to release Marshal as a two-part film, and the first instalment is expected to hit the theatres during the summer of 2026. However, the exact release date of Karthi's ambitious film is yet to be finalised. The Tamizh directorial, which is set against the backdrop of Rameshwaram town in the 1960s to 1970s period, reportedly features the popular actor in a never-seen-before avatar.

Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the female lead opposite Karthi in the much awaited project, which also stars senior actors Sathyaraj and Prabhu in pivotal roles. John Kokken, Easwari Rao, Murali Sharma and others appear in the supporting roles in Marshal. Popular young musician Sai Abhyankkar is composing the songs and original score for the big budget venture, which is bankrolled by the banner Dream Warrior Pictures.
