Bekaboo update: Shalin Bhanot and Eisha Singh's fantasy drama has been making waves ever since the first promo was unveiled. The show, which is produced by Ekta Kapoor was launched with a bang on March 18. While TV buffs have given thumbs up to Bekaboo, there is a certain section of audience that is not pleased with the quality and performances of the lead artists.

Shalin Bhanot might have made a grand comeback to the fiction space with Bekaboo; however, his performance has not been up to the mark. Netizens have expressed their displeasure over his acting skills, mentioning that he is good looking, but he has not been able to pull off the role of Ranav with perfection. As the official Instagram handle of Colors channel released a new promo of Bekaboo, fans flooded the comments section to share their thoughts about the same and the performance of the lead artists. They mentioned that both Eisha and Shalin make a good-looking on-screen couple, adding that they need to work on their chemistry.

In the new promo, Bela can be seen confronting Ranav following which his real side came to the fore. Bela blamed Ranav, telling him that her friend was missing because of him. Ranav lost his calm after the confrontation with Bela and hence turned into his devil avatar. It remains to be seen how will Bela react after she comes to know about the truth?

Fans dropped comments on the post, expressing their views about the promo. One user wrote, "I really liked the story line...but shalin does not knw how to act.. and cuteness does not work always...please replace him (sic)." Another commented, "Par yar is shalin ko acting hi nahi aati or inke bich to chemistry hi nahi lag rahi hai shalin ki vajhse sayad isha ke opposite anki ya arjun ko lee lete (sic)."
One fan even requested the makers to replace Shalin Bhanot, writing, "Plzz replace shalin.. he is doing overacting (sic)."

Shalin Bhanot fans came to his defence after netizens trolled him for his 'poor performance' and blamed him for 'bad chemistry' with Eisha Singh. One user tweeted, "Shalin should not pay heed to such trolls and instead focus only on good work and not let negativity affect him." Another person said, "There's a reason why Ekta Kapoor roped in Shalin Bhanot. It's early days and people should not pass remarks like these."
