EXCLUSIVE! Riya Sharma Says 'Being A Part Of Dhruv Tara Has Helped Me Master Shudh Hindi'

Actress Riya Sharma is leaving no stone unturned to charm fans with her acting in the Sab TV show- Dhruv Tara. She is currently seen playing the character of the 17th century Princess, Tarapriya. The newly launched revolves around two characters- Dhruv and Tara, who are from different eras.

Riya aka Princess Tara, who belongs to the 17th century, speaks 'Shudh Hindi' in the show. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, the actress spilled the beans on how her show has helped her in mastering the Hindi language. Talking about the same, Riya quipped,"For portraying the character of Princess Tarapriya, I require to speak pure hindi and even sanskrit words sometimes. Considering the 17th era, my language is one of the most important aspects of my character. I practice a lot to get the perfect pronunciation of the words and dialogues I am given to speak. Recently, I had to learn the Ramaskandam mantra, which is not that easy, but I learnt it after reciting it a few times. Through the show, I have learnt immensely about how things used to work years ago. I feel proud because being a part of Dhruv Tara has helped me master 'Shudh Hindi.'"

Riya revealed that she often uses the 'shudh Hindi' words during her conversation. Sharing an incident, she stated, "You know, when you speak a particular language for the whole day, it starts coming into your day-to-day conversation with people. Recently, while I was talking to my mother, she told me about a sprain in her leg and I instantly said, 'apne aushadhi lagai', which was quite funny. My mother started laughing and said, 'Han princess tara hmne lgali thi'. Not only this, it happens a lot when I use some typical hindi words during a conversation with my friends."

When asked about the audience response, Riya said, "I am receiving an incredible response from the audience because they are loving the unique concept of our show, which is really a motivational and inspirational thing for me."

On the professional front, Riya is known for her performances in the shows- Saat Phero Ki Hera Pherie, Kashibai Bajirao Ballal and Pinjara Khubsurti Ka. Before Dhruv Tara, she appeared in Banni Chow Home Delivery, which aired on Star Plus.
