On Wednesday (June 19), Star Plus officially confirmed that show is taking a seven-year-leap. The official Instagram handle of the channel released a promo to inform the fans about the same.

The promo confirmed that GHKPM is taking a seven-year leap. While Shakti Arora has left the serial, Bhavika Sharma has been retained. The production house has locked Hitesh Bharadwaj as the new lead of the show.

"The Udaariyaan actor fits the bill perfectly for the new hero. We liked his audition as he nailed it completely. He also looks good when paired with Bhavika Sharma. So, we decided to go ahead with the casting," a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

Speculations are rife that Ayesha Singh and Neil Bhatt have been approached to make a return to their show. The duo played the original leads in GHKPM. Their sizzling chemistry as Sai and Virat set the TRP charts on fire.

When we contacted a source to know about Ayesha and Neil's return, he stated, "The production house has not notified us about the development. Ayesha Singh is busy recovering from her health issues and celebrating her special day with loved ones. Neil Bhatt is occupied with the pre-production work of his new show. If Neil and Ayesha make a comeback, the viewers will definitely rejoice."
