Shrimad Ramayan Extension: Sony TV's Ramayan To Not Go OFF Air, To Introduce Uttar Kand After Ravan's Death?

Shrimad Ramayan extension: It won't be wrong to say that Shrimad Ramayan has been the most successful launch of 2024 for Sony Entertainment Television. The channel has been plagued by failure as most of its shows have been unable to strike a chord with the audience. Jubilee Talkies, Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak and Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai turned out to be flops as they couldn't even cross the 0.5 TVR mark.

MEHNDI WALA GHAR CONFIRMED TO END FOR KBC 16

Filmibeat earlier informed that Shrimad Ramayan would end to make way for Kaun Banega Crorepati 2024. Mehndi Wala Ghar was supposed to get an extension and a new time slot.

"KBC 2024 will be the biggest launch on Sony Entertainment Television after Shrimad Ramayan. While Shrimad Ramayan witnessed a decent viewership, other shows failed to strike a chord with the audience. The channel will axe Shrimad Ramayan on a high note and shift Mehndi Wala Ghar to the 7pm slot to make way for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16."

In a major development, Sony TV pulled the plug on Mehendi Wala Ghar. A source exclusively told us, "Sony Entertainment Television has decided to pull the plug on Mehndi Wala Ghar. The show will end with a huge finale episode next month. The last episode date has not been fialised yet but we know that the cast and crew will wrap up the shoot by the end of July 2024. Mehendi Wala Ghar will end to make way for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. It will be their biggest launch of the year as Amitabh Bachchan hosts the quiz-based show."

SHRIMAD RAMAYAN TO GET AN EXTENSION FOR THREE MONTHS

If the recent buzz is to be believed, the show has received an extension of three months. The channel has decided to introduce Uttar Kand after Ravan's death in the mythological show starring Sujay Reu and Prachi Bansal in lead roles.

According to reports, the makers will continue the storyline after Ravan's death as the channel has given an extension for three months. The Uttar Kand track will be showcased in Shrimad Ramayan in the upcoming episodes. It has not been revealed if the show will continue at 9pm slot after Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is launched.

The promos have hinted that KBC 2024 will take the weekday 9pm slot on the channel.
