Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans were left everyone shocked when Kush Shah aka Goli, one of their favourite characters of the show, announced that he was leaving TMKOC after 16 years. The makers shared a video on YouTube, in which Kush looked back on his journey and thanked everyone for their support.

In the heartfelt video, Kush said goodbye to his viewers and expressed his gratitude for all the love showered on him over the years.

Ever since the show was first aired on Sab TV, Kush Shah had been an integral part of the show. Disha Vakani (Daya Ben), Shailesh Lodha (Taarak Mehta), Raj Anandkat (Tapu) among others, have left the show. Fans have been wondering why has Kush Shah left the show. Munmun Dutta, who plays the role of 'Babita Ji' in TMKOC has hinted at the real reason behind Kush's exit. Apparently, Kush is shifting to New York. Yes, you read that right. Sharing the video of Kush's farewell party on her Instagram story, Munmun wrote, "Kushiiii... I am teary eyed writing this but broooo I miss you. We all do and will always will. My ragging and trolling partner. You're immensely talented and we are already proud of who you are and your journey."

"I wish I was a part of this farewell party. Will miss our fun banter terribly. It's no fun without you. But New York baby!! Hell yeah... All the very best. Will see you in NYC soon," she added.
