Teri Meri Doriyaann update: Himanshi Parashar and Vijayendra Kumeria have managed to create ripples with their sizzling chemistry in Teri Meri Dooriyaann. Their scorching on-screen romance has grabbed several eyeballs. The daily soap has remained in the headlines ever since rumours about the show facing axe surfaced on the internet.

Star Plus is reportedly not happy with the falling TRPs of Teri Meri Doriyaann and has asked the production house to revamp the storyline. A source earlier told Filmibeat,"Star Plus has decided to pull the plug on Teri Meri Doriyaann. The show witnessed a massive decrease in viewership following Indian Premier League 2024. While the makers tried their best to revamp the show and bring more eyeballs, the numbers didn't rise. As a result of low TRPs, Star Plus' programming team has taken the call to axe the show and replace it with the Hindi remake of a popular regional show."

Following the diktat, the makers decided to bump off Sahiba's character. Himanshi's character ended in the daily soap as the creative team introduced a new character to spice up the ratings.

Himansi recently opened up about the big change in Teri Meri Dooriyaan and said that this is the 'nature of business' as the tracks are decided on the basis of viewership. She spoke about the drastic change in viewership of her show in the past two months and said that the team is trying their best to revive the lost numbers.

Himanshi Parashar, in the same interview, addressed the rumours of a link-up with popular TV actor Karan Mehra. The actress squashed the rumours, calling them 'baseless' and 'weird'.

The small screen diva said that she worked with Karan Mehra in a Punjabi TV show and have known each other since then. For the unversed, Karan's estranged wife Nisha Rawal accused him of domestic violence and extra-marital affair. As she worked with the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor in the past, people assumed that something was 'brewing between them'.

"My name was not directly taken, but people assumed that since we were co-actors there was something brewing between us," Himanshi Parashar told ETimes while reacting to rumours of an affair with Karan Mehra.
