The Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor, who essayed the role of Diljeet, has shot for his last episode. His character will die in the Star Plus serial.

We earlier revealed that the channel executives were not pleased with the numbers of the show. "Teri Meri Dooriyaann has witnessed a drop in numbers in the past two months. Direct competition from IPL 2024 impacted the viewership of the show. While the TRPs were decent in March, the performance of the show has dipped in April and May. Star Plus is not pleased with a rating of 1.1 that the show is delivering at the 7pm slot," a source told Filmibeat.

As per the latest buzz, they are planning to axe Teri Meri Dooriyaann due to low TRPs. Yes, you read that right!

A source exclusively told Filmibeat, "Star Plus has decided to pull the plug on Teri Meri Doriyaann. The show witnessed a massive decrease in viewership following Indian Premier League 2024. While the makers tried their best to revamp the show and bring more eyeballs, the numbers didn't rise. As a result of low TRPs, Star Plus' programming team has taken the call to axe the show and replace it with the Hindi remake of a popular regional show."

When we contacted the khabri to know the last episode date of Teri Meri Dooriyaann serial, he quipped, "The production house is expected to be notified about the same soon. The new show is said to be launching in July 2024. TMD will end in the next one month as the chances of shifting to 6pm slot look bleak to me."

Himanshi Parashar and Vijayendra Kumeria play the lead roles in Teri Meri Doriyaann.
