April Fools’ Day: Sony SAB Actors Bring Laughter And Playful Mischief

Mumbai, March 30th, 2026: Celebrated every year on 1st April, April Fools' Day is all about light-hearted pranks and spreading joy. Embracing this spirit, Sony SAB actors Muskan Bamne, Deeksha Joshi, Rajat Verma and Neha SK Mehta share their love for harmless pranks, memorable on-set moments and how a little laughter helps strengthen bonds amidst hectic shooting schedules. From playful tricks on co-stars to unforgettable behind-the-scenes memories, the actors reflect on how a light moment adds a refreshing break to their everyday routine and keeps the energy on set alive.

Muskan Bamne, who essays the role of Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "April Fools' Day used to be such a big deal back in school! We would plan pranks days in advance and wait for the perfect moment to trick our friends and even teachers. Those little moments of mischief and laughter are some of my favourite memories. Even now on set, while we're usually so immersed in our scenes, a small prank here and there instantly lifts everyone's mood. Once, we switched the sugar with salt in Ashwin's (Samridh Bawa) tea, it was a moment of pure shock followed by uncontrollable laughter! For me, it's never about going overboard, but about creating fun moments that we can all look back on and smile."

Deeksha Joshi, who essays the role of Deepti in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "April Fools' Day is the perfect excuse to let your guard down and just have fun! As actors, we are constantly juggling emotions and scenes, so a little light-hearted mischief is always welcome. I once fell for a prank where I was told we had an extra-long shoot day added last minute, I almost panicked before realizing it was all a joke! It's these fun memories that make shooting so enjoyable. So enjoy the day, laugh a lot, but don't fall for everything you hear!"

Rajat Verma, who essays the role of Virat in Itti Si Khushi, shared, "There's something about April Fools' Day that brings out everyone's inner mischief-maker! On the sets of Itti Si Khushi, we love playing pranks, especially the ones that take a little time to unravel. Once, we made Rishi Saxena believe that his scenes had been completely rewritten, it was hilarious watching the confusion! For me, it's all about keeping the vibe light, fun and a little unpredictable!"

Neha SK Mehta, who essays the role of Hetal Divekar in Itti Si Khushi, shared, "I think humour plays a very important role, especially in a fast-paced environment like ours. Even though we're usually busy with long shooting schedules, we somehow find time to plan a few harmless pranks on each other. I remember once we convinced Siddhu (Sachin Chaudhary) that his call time had been shifted much earlier than usual. He actually arrived on set all serious and ready, only to realize we were all trying hard not to laugh! Moments like these really lighten the mood and bring us closer as a team. I think a little laughter like this is important while working every day together. My only advice for April 1st, double check every message you receive, because you never know who's planning a prank!"
