The family duo theme on MasterChef India 9 is nearing its climax, with four teams left in the race. These home cooks, who hail from different parts of India, are competing for the trophy while bringing strong regional flavours and family bonds to the kitchen.

The top four teams include brothers, sisters, a brother-sister pair and a mother-daughter duo, all representing their home states. In a major development, one contestant jodi got eliminated from the MasterChef India season 9 finale week, a few days before the finale, on Holi 2026.

The grand finale of MasterChef India 9 is scheduled to air on March 6 on Sony Entertainment Television at 8pm.

The remaining cooks on MasterChef India 9 come from Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab and Telangana, giving the show a wide cultural mix. Each pair represents more than one city in some cases, highlighting how food travels within families and across regions.

With Ajinkya and Vikram Gandhe, Anju Pradhan and Manju Ojha, Anshmeet Singh and Prabhdeep Kaur, plus Chandana and Sai Sri Rachakonda in the top four, MasterChef India 9 now focuses on which family pair can tackle the challenges and secure a spot in the grand finale.

MasterChef India 9 Elimination: Who Got Eliminated In Finale Week?

In a major development, Simran and Himanshi Vohra bid adieu to the show on March 3. Their elimination set several tongues wagging as they were considered a probable winner.

MasterChef India 9 elimination rounds have already sent many home cook pairs out of the kitchen. The latest duo to leave are sisters Simran and Himanshi Vohra from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. They secured the fifth position in the show.

Just before that, Mumbai-based sisters-in-law Archana Dhotre and Rupalie Jadhav were eliminated on March 2, 2026. Father-daughter team Venu and Avani Sharma from Kasaragod, Kerala left earlier, on 27th February, after falling short in their challenge.

MasterChef India 9 Eliminated Contestants List

MasterChef India 9 elimination history also includes brother-sister pair Mahfooz and Yasmin Ansari from Bilaspur and Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh. They were knocked out on 20 February as the 8th elimination. On 13 February, Mumbai sisters Deepali Bihani and Jamuna Somani saw their journey end.

Earlier in MasterChef India 9 elimination episodes, mother-son team Parvati and Himang Soni from Bikaner, Rajasthan went out on 06 February as the 10th exit. Before them, Vishnu and Harshini Purohit from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a father-in-law and daughter-in-law duo, were eliminated on 30 January.

Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law pair Raksha and Kanchana Devi from Bir, Himachal Pradesh were the 12th elimination on 23 January. With these MasterChef India 9 elimination results, the remaining teams are now competiting for the winner's trophy.
