The show last aired on February 15, after which it went on a break, reportedly due to Ramadan. As per a report by The Nation, MHL - the project owner of Pakistan Idol Season 2 - recently announced an extended pause in the airing of the remaining episodes. With just four episodes left before the grand finale, the unexpected break has left fans eagerly waiting for clarity on when the show will return.

Amid the silence, a hint has emerged from one of the contestants. Viewers on social media noticed a comment by Top 7 contestant Nabeel Abbas, where he revealed that the semi-final and finale episodes have been delayed due to "technical issues."

However, he reassured fans that the episodes are expected to be broadcast "very soon," suggesting that the finale may not be too far away despite the ongoing delay.

Why Is Pakistan Idol 2 Grand Finale Postponed?

According to the same report by The Nation, MHL decided to put the show on hold due to the "escalating tensions on multiple fronts," along with "the threat of conflict" and ongoing uncertainty at the borders.

Explaining their decision, the makers stated, "With the government calling for national austerity and collective restraint, resuming a production of this scale does not feel right. It does not feel honest." They further added, "Pakistan Idol's finale is meant to be a moment of national joy, loud, proud, and full of the energy that only this country can produce. To film it now, in these conditions, would be to hollow out everything it stands for."

Pakistan Idol Season 2 Top 7 Finalists

Following the Gala 7 round of Pakistan Idol Season 2, the competition intensified as two contestants were eliminated, paving the way for the Top 7 finalists. The remaining contestants who are now one step closer to the grand finale are Tarab, Maham, Waqar, Hira, Aryan, Nabeel Abbas, and Samya.
