Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai New Lead: The wait is finally over. After two months of speculation, it has been confirmed that YRKKH is taking a generation. Rajan Shahi, who earlier remained silent about the time jump in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, confirmed that a new season of his hit show is on the cards. He spilled the beans on the new entries in the Star Plus drama after the leap.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI NEW ENTRY

Veteran actress Anita Raj will be seen in a pivotal role following the leap in the show. While the makers have stayed tight-lipped about Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod's exit, gossip mills have confirmed that they will be bidding adieu to the viewers soon.

Shehzada Dhami and Samridhii Shukla have been roped in to play the new leads of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. While Shehzada was seen in Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia starrer Choti Sardaarni, Samridhi played the titular role in Saavi Ki Savaari on Colors channel.

According to Gossip TV, the storyline of YRKKH will be similar to the first generation where Hina Khan and Karan Mehra played the leads. It will showcase the story of two individuals who fall in love after their arranged marriage. The plot is expected to remind the viewers about Akshara and Naitik's love story.

SAMRIDHI SHUKLA FIRST PIC FROM YRKKH SET

A picture from the set is going viral where Samridhii Shukla can be seen riding a scooty. The photo was heavily circulated online after the rumours were confirmed. The official Instagram handle of Saas Bahu Aur Saazish shared the photo, putting an end to the speculation about the new lead of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial.
