Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai twist: After weeks of speculations, it has been finally confirmed that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is taking a generation leap. There has been a constant buzz over the leap in Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda's serial since August end. While the two celebrities have refrained from speaking up on the matter, gossip mills suggest that the duo would make an exit from the hit Star Plus.

Speculations were rife that Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda would be replaced by Tejasswi Prakash and Fahmaan Khan respectively as new leads. However, Filmibeat was quick enough to debunk the conjecture.

While the production house would love to work with Tejasswi and Fahmaan, I think new faces will be auditioned for the lead roles. There's no doubt that Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash are wonderful actors, who bring their own fan following but I think the chances of them featuring in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are bleak," a source had told Filmibeat.

The names of Randeep Rai, Helly Shah, Mahima Makwana, Anushka Sen, Zannat Zubair were also floating on the internet. It was said that they had been approached for the show. However, there's no truth to it.

After staying tight-lipped about the leap in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rajan Shahi has confirmed that a new season of the show is on the cards. The ace producer has even spilled the beans on the new entry in the show. He spoke about a veteran actress making an entry in YRKKH following the leap.

Rajan Shahi, while interacting with a leading daily, made an official announcement about YRKKH's new season. As he made the announcement, he also introduced the first actress, who will join the cast of the serial.

The production house has roped in a veteran actress to play a pivotal role in Yeh Rishta. Guess what? Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia's Choti Sarrdaarni co-star is all set to enter the show after the leap track is introduced.

We are talking about Anita Raj. The Bollywood actress, who has also worked in TV serials like Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Tumhari Pakhi and 24, will be seen in a special role in YRKKH. She is the first confirmed actress of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after the leap.

Talking about her entry, Rajan Shahi told Times Of India that she will be seen in a pivotal character in the new season of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Anita Raaj was last seen in a special cameo in Saavi Ki Savaari, which went off air on Colors channel.
