Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai new lead: The cat is finally out of the bag. After weeks of speculation, it has been revealed that Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will make an exit from the serial. Rajan Shahi, who remained tight-lipped about the leap in the show, confirmed that a new season is on the cards.

Gossip mills suggested that Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod will bid adieu to the show after the generation leap is incorporated in YRKKH. The new promo released by Star Plus hinted at Abhimanyu's death as he will meet with a car accident. AbhiRa's wedding has already been delayed and now, the show is expected to shift focus on Akshara's newborn baby.

While Harshad Chopda is expected to shoot his last episode on October 30, there's no confirmation about Pranali Rathod's last day of shoot. It will be emotional for the two actors and the viewers as Harshali is a part of the show since the past two years.

The likes of Tejasswi Prakash, Helly Shah, Mahima Makwana, Anushka Sen, Zannat Zubair were rumoured to be in the race to replace Pranali Rathod. However, Filmibeat debunked all the rumours."Helly Shah is not doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Yes, she was approached for the serial but she is busy with new projects and hence, won't be able to take up a longtime fiction show. She would suit the bill perfectly but the makers are now looking for a fresh face for YRKKH," a source told Filmibeat.

"No, Jannat Zubair is not replacing Pranali Rathod in YRKKH. The channel is on the lookout for a fresh face for the show, who is not exposed on television. Jannat was never approached for Harshad Chopda's show. She is a known face but we don't think she is looking forward to working on TV shows now. The makers want to have a fresh pairing in YRKKH and they are yet to lock the deal with the new leads," a source further told Filmibeat.

WHO WILL REPLACE PRANALI RATHOD AS NEW LEAD IN YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI?

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will witness the entry of the fourth generation as Shehzada Dhami and Samridhi Shukla have been confirmed to play the new leads. According to a report in Tellychakkar, Samridhii Shukla, who made her debut with Saavi Ki Savaari, will be seen as the female lead.
