However, amidst the celebrations, Chiranjeevi's words about having a grandson as his 'true heir' resurfaced online. The megastar is seen revealing how he feels like a 'ladies hostel warden' in an all-girls household, and his comment has irked the netizens to end. The veteran actor has been trolled for his patriarchal mindset, ever since this video went viral again.

The social media has been mercilessly trolling Chiranjeevi alleging that the megastar is showing evident partiality between his grandchildren. The netizens have been also pointing out that the veteran actor has shown his patriarchal mindset in many occasion, before. But now, actress Lavanya Tripathi, who is the wife of Chiranjeevi's nephew Varun Tej Konidela, has come forward in the MSG star's defence.

"I usually ignore tweets like this and let them pass on my timeline, but I didn't expect it from you... This tweet is in extremely poor taste, turning a genuinely happy moment into something unpleasant," wrote Lavanya, who reacted to a social media post criticizing Chiranjeevi, on her official X handle.

"You clearly don't know how he treats the women in his family, especially his granddaughters. Very few men can do even 1% of what he does, so it's best not to comment on people you don't truly know :)," added the popular actress in her post.

Not just the family members, but the die-hard fans and a large group of Telugu cinema audiences are also extending support to Chiranjeevi, amidst the social media trolling. They have been insisting that the megastar's comments were harmless, and were blown out of propotion.
