In the upcoming Hindi masala action-drama Subedaar, Anil Kapoor plays Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a decorated and retired military officer struggling to adapt to civilian life in a small town in Madhya Pradesh. However, when a series of humiliations and a grave threat to his family push him to the edge, Arjun is forced back into action-hero mode, unleashing his lethal combat skills to fight back.

In the upcoming action-drama Subedaar, Mona Singh takes on a powerful negative role as the ruthless local crime boss Bubbly, also known as “Didi.” Breaking away from her usual characters, she plays the head of a formidable sand mafia operating in the heartland of Madhya Pradesh. As the primary antagonist, she stands in direct conflict with Subedaar Arjun Maurya, portrayed by Anil Kapoor, a retired soldier fighting corruption and threats to his family.

In Subedaar, Aditya Rawal takes on a pivotal and sinister role as Prince, a volatile, ruthless, and psychopathic mafia heir. Prince is the younger brother of Babli Didi, played by Mona Singh, who runs an illegal sand-mining empire. Portrayed as a menacing storm who thrives on violence, Prince celebrates brutal killings and delivers bone-chilling threats with ease. His fierce rivalry with Subedaar Arjun Maurya, played by Anil Kapoor, begins when Arjun is assigned as his driver and a moment of disrespect sparks a brutal and explosive face-off.

In Subedaar, Radhikka Madan plays Shyama Maurya, the strong-willed daughter of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, portrayed by Anil Kapoor. Their complex father-daughter relationship forms the emotional core of the film, set against a backdrop of high-octane action. Madan has described Shyama as inheriting her father’s fiery spirit, “the same blood in her veins”, and called the role emotionally challenging. The film also marks her first on-screen collaboration with Kapoor.

Faisal Malik is part of the lead cast of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video original film Subedaar. While specific details about his character are still under wraps, he is credited as a pivotal member of the ensemble. At the trailer launch, Malik added a light-hearted touch by joking that his biggest “struggle” during the shoot was maintaining the continuity of his beard.

In Subedaar, Saurabh Shukla plays Prabhakar, a retired army man and the trusted friend of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, portrayed by Anil Kapoor. Moving away from his popular comedic and character roles, Shukla takes on a more intense part as a loyal companion who stands firmly by Arjun’s side during his dangerous fight against local goons and deep-rooted societal corruption.
