The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond Trailer Out, Here’s Everything You Need to Know

There has been massive buzz around the sequel to one of India’s most talked-about films. The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond! follows the critically acclaimed The Kerala Story, and its official motion poster, presented by filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah, hints at a return to the film’s hard-hitting and intense storytelling. The sequel is scheduled to hit theatres in February 2026.

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond! features a fresh cast of rising talents, including Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha, and Aditi Bhatia. The film is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who has also co-written the script along with Amarnath Jha. Aashin A. Shah serves as the co-producer, bringing together a strong creative team for the much-awaited sequel.

The trailer of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond was released on February 17, 2026. The sequel broadens its scope beyond Kerala, presenting three separate stories from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala, each focusing on women facing alleged coercion, forced conversion, or pressure in relationships, setting up a more expansive and intense narrative than the original film.

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is scheduled to release in theatres on February 27, 2026. The sequel to the 2023 film expands the narrative beyond Kerala, presenting multiple stories from different parts of India. 

The recently released trailer of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond hints at a major expansion in scope. While the first film was largely set in Kerala, the sequel moves across the country and introduces three new protagonists: Surekha Nair, an IAS aspirant from Kerala played by Ulka Gupta; Neha Sant, an Olympic-hopeful javelin thrower from Madhya Pradesh played by Aishwarya Ojha; and Divya Paliwal, a social media influencer from Rajasthan played by Aditi Bhatia. While both films in The Kerala Story franchise deal with themes of alleged forced conversions and “love jihad,” the sequel appears to adopt a broader and more varied narrative tone.
