Upcoming OTT And Theatrical Releases In Hindi (1-7 March): Subedaar, Hello Bacchon, Jab Khuli Kitaab, And More

The upcoming Hindi film stars Anil Kapoor as Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier struggling to adjust to civilian life while fighting local corruption and an illegal sand mining mafia, all while mending his strained bond with his daughter Shyama, played by Radhikka Madan. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the film also features Mona Singh, Aditya Rawal, Saurabh Shukla, Faisal Malik, and Khushbu Sundar in key roles. It is set to premiere on March 5, 2026, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Arriving on Netflix on 6 March, Hello Bachhon is a new series inspired by the real-life journey of educator Alakh Pandey. Starring Vineet Kumar Singh as a passionate teacher who builds an edtech platform for students ignored by the mainstream system, the show highlights determination and reform in education. Directed by Pratish Mehta, the ensemble cast also features Girija Oak Godbole and Vikram Kochhar.

Jab Khuli Kitaab, streaming on ZEE5, is a poignant Bollywood drama about an elderly couple who choose to seek a divorce after 50 years of marriage. Starring Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia as the lead pair, the film thoughtfully explores the complexities of long-term relationships, family reactions, and the belief that it’s never too late to pursue personal happiness.

Against the backdrop of the traditional Charak Puja festival, known for its extreme acts of devotion, the film explores the thin line between faith and fanaticism. The story follows a community preparing for the Charak mela, where age-old rituals meant to fulfil wishes begin to blur into obsession and danger. The ensemble cast includes Anjali Patil, Mohd. Sahidur Rahaman, and Subrat Dutta in pivotal roles.
