In a small village called Vadakkupatti, there's a boy named Ramasamy (Santhanam). He's young and sells pots for a living, but no one buys them. This makes him really poor, so he starts thinking of a way out. He notices that everyone in the village believes a lot in their god. Ramasamy decides to use this to his advantage. He takes up different jobs and even builds temples, making money from the villagers' faith.

Meanwhile, there's a guy named Kathiresan, a Tahsildar, sees what Ramasamy is doing and wants to make money from the temples too. But when Ramasamy disagrees, they end up in a funny fight, causing chaos among the villagers.
