Maalik Story

Maalik is a Gangster drama movie directed by Pulkit, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Medha Shankr, Huma Qureshi, Rishi Raj Bhasin, Anil Jhamajham, Shweta R Shrivastava, and many more. Maalik is produced by Jay Shewakramani, Kumar Taurani under Tips Films banner and  Northern Lights Films banner and written by Jyotsana Nath and Pulkit. 

Plot 

Maalik revolves around Deepak (Rajkummar Rao), a young man from a farming family in 1980s Allahabad (Prayagraj), whose life changes forever after avenging his injured father’s attacker. Adopting the name “Maalik,” he steadily builds a criminal empire amid political corruption and shifting loyalties, forging ties with powerful figures like MLA Balhar Singh (Swanand Kirkire), his mentor Dadda (Saurabh Shukla), and rival gangster Chandrashekhar (Saurabh Sachdeva). 

While his ambition and ruthlessness fuel his rise, they also strain his personal life, with his wife Shalini (Manushi Chhillar) urging him to leave crime behind as their family grows. As betrayals mount and violence spirals out of control, Maalik’s brutal murder of a police officer triggers the arrival of suspended encounter specialist SP Prabhu Das (Prosenjit Chatterjee), leading to a deadly confrontation. Through his journey, the film explores revenge, ambition, power, and how corruption ultimately consumes a man’s life.
